Ján Ferenčák is the mayor of Town Kežmarok, deputy of the Prešov Self – Governing Region. He is a member of the Presidium of the Union of Towns of Slovakia, a member of the Committee of the Regions of the EU, chairman of the Euroregion Tatry Association and Vice-President of the Club of Mayors of the Slovak Republic.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Education of Trnava University and Faculty of Science, University of Pavol Jozef Safarik in Košice – Institute of Computer Science. His doctoral education was at the Faculty of Health and Social Work of the Trnava University. He deserved to create the idealogical concept of Smart Green City Kežmarok.
